Pisut Named OAC Player of the Week


Senior Angie Pisut (Huber Heights/Carroll) has been picked as the Ohio Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week of August 31 - September 6. This is the second time in her career that Pisut has earned the honor. Pisut knocked in three goals and dished out two assists for a team-high eight points in the Ohio Northern women's soccer team's first week of the season. The Polar Bears finished the week with a 2-1-0 record, beating Defiance and Kalamazoo (Mich.) before falling to No. 17-ranked Calvin (Mich.). In the season-opening 7-0 victory over Defiance, Pisut scored two goals and had two assists for an impressive six points. Pisut then tacked on another goal in the team's 4-1 victory over Kalamazoo on Friday of the ONU Classic.

The Polar Bears will be in action again this weekend when they travel to the DePauw (Ind.) Classic to face host DePauw on Friday at 7:30 pm and Centre (Ky.) on Saturday at 5 pm.
