The Polar Bears dominated a majority of the game vs Case Western Reserve University on Saturday afternoon in Ada, OH. ONU needed 2 over times to secure the win against the scrappy visitors. The Polar Bears first got on the board with a goal from Natalie White, her second of the season. Kim McGowan was credited for the assist on ONU's first goal midway through the second half. Case would battle back and get a goal of their own late in the second half, forcing the game into overtime. ONU didn't give up and created a lot of good scoring opportunities in both overtimes. None of the late chances found the net until Senior Erin Stapp received a pass from Freshman Katie Kinkelaar and she notched home the game winner.
CWR was a very tough and worthy opponent for the Polar Bears. ONU is now 5-3-1 on the season with one non-conference match up left this Wednesday as they face Defiance College at 4p in Ada, OH. ONU will begin conference play this Friday when they travel to Muskingum College for a 4p kickoff.
