ONU kept its winning ways with a commanding win over Baldwin Wallace College. The Polar Bears took charge of a tough Baldwin Wallace team in the 6-0 win yesterday in Ada. ONU got off to an early start as Natalie White got to the endline and found Jamie Eiben at the top of the 6 yard box for the game's opening goal just 5 minutes after kickoff. Stacey Barnhart then notched her 6th goal of the season off a Kaitlin Sanders corner kick. Other ONU players finding the net were Angie Pisut (who now has 13 goals on the season and leading the OAC), Kaitlin Sanders, Maddie White, and Tara Tokar got her first goal of the season. Players getting assists were Chelsea Chadwick, Stacey Barnhart, and Chelsea Albert. The Polar Bears didn't allow a single shot on goal and only 2 shots over the 90 minute match.
"It was a fantastic team performance", said Head Coach Mark Batman. "I'm so proud of these girls and their commitment to this team. They train hard, play with passion, and truly enjoy being around each other. Our team defense is really coming together and our team offense is the best I've seen so far this season. We are hopeful we can continue to grow and learn from each game." ONU is now 10-2-2 overall and 4-0 in OAC player. The only other undefeated team in the OAC is Otterbein. Thanks to all who were present for the match yesterday. ONU's next OAC opponent is a very good team from John Carroll University on Saturday at 2p in University Heights, OH.
