Pre season closing thoughts

With pre season coming to a close and our first regular season match approaching here are a few thoughts from our captains on preseason and the road that lies ahead for ONU Women's Soccer.

#2, Senior, Chelsea Chadwick
"I am very excited for this soccer season due to the fact that we have many experienced and talented girls who each bring something special to the team and on the field. This preseason is going well because we have such a competitive group of girls who are pushing each other hard in practice to prepare for our upcoming season."


#12, Junior, Tara Tokar
"Even before we came on campus for our report date I've been extremely excited for this season. With a few girls coming back from injuries and the addition of our very talented incoming class, I'm very hopeful for a successful season to come. The girls have been full of energy throughout our preseason training sessions and even more so when we're getting closer to real games. Our team chemistry I think is the best it's ever been and we've definitely already made some hilarious memories! I'm confident that everyone will be working hard for each other...we're just ready to go!!!"

"Although this year’s pre-season was short (due to the semester change) it was still very productive and encouraging. With many of the players being returners and just a handful of first year players, we have a great group with A LOT of talent, all looking for minutes. What separates this group from others is the hunger and competitive drive. Every practice players are out on the field giving their 100%, which I can only imagine makes it difficult for the coaching staff! I know that we're excited to start playing outside competition to see how we do. This is our year. We are the team, this is the time!"
