Meet your Polar Bears!

Senior Katie Schaadt #4

Personal Questions:
1. What is your favorite food? Pasta and Mashed Potatoes
2. Who are your favorite actors/actresses?Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson
3. What is your favorite movie?Cars and Wedding Crashers
4. What made you choose to become a Polar Bear?I wanted a small school, close but not too close to home, where I could play soccer. And it happened that Brandon Koons, Otterbein’s head coach, suggested that I come visit ONU because he believed the new head coach would do great things with this program…. And here I am.
5. What do you do to prepare on game days?Usually before a game I sit in the locker room, listening to my i-pod, and focus on the game ahead of me, thinking about what I need to do contribute to a win for our team. And then maybe hit a team mate or two with balloons that are located in our locker room, as they pass by.

Soccer Questions:
1. What is your most memorable soccer moment at ONU? My most memorable moment has to be making the travel roster to California my freshman year and getting to play in the second game out there.
2. What is the best thing about our team? The best thing about our team is the chemistry that we have. We are always there for one another, weather it is someone having a bad day in soccer or academically, we know that our teammates are there to support us and help us when we are struggling.
3. How do you think the season is going? The season has gone well. Although we did not achieve our goal of winning the OAC conference, and being the back- to- back conference champs in the history of ONU women’s soccer history, we were able to pull out two great wins against Wilmington and Marietta. With the second place seat we had to readjust our goals to win the OAC tournament and be the first women’s soccer team to make the NCAA tournament. Both of which are very possible goals.
4. What’s in store for the fans of ONU women’s soccer for the upcoming games? These next two games will be great games against good opponents, but I believe that if we do what is asked and expected of us, we will be the first team in ONU women’s soccer history to reach the NCAA tournament.
