The Polar Bears came out 2-1 over non conference NCAC rival Wittenberg University Wednesday evening in Ada, OH. Wittenberg came into the match as the #1 team in the Great Lakes Region and the #7 team in the latest NSCAA National Coach's poll. The ONU women have waited four years to beat the Tigers and it was a great day for ONU women's soccer. The team showed a lot of character after losing both games in Michigan this past weekend. They felt both games were games they could have won. Recovering from the setback over the weekend to play hard against a nationally ranked team was a great result yesterday.
The Polar Bears are taking a much deserved and needed break until they play again next Wednesday against another great NCAC opponent at Denison University. Thank you all who were able to come to the match yesterday, we appreciate your continued support!
